Temp Project Editor (4 weeks)

Calling all temps – we have a fantastic opportunity to work with a well known publisher of highly illustrated cookery, lifestyle and wellbeing titles within the co-edition world.
We are looking for a temporary Project Editor to join a busy editorial team for approximately 4 weeks, this role will offer a hybrid working model, with a immediate start and is based in central London.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess commercial awareness and a strong passion for creating high-quality books, with proven experience in four-colour publishing. You must excel in taking a book from concept to final copy, showcasing excellent editorial skills and a keen eye for design.
Managing multiple projects simultaneously will require strong project management abilities, while effective communication with various stakeholders across imprints, brands, and freelancers is crucial. Day-to-day tasks include project management, proofreading, copyediting, and coordination with external suppliers and freelancers.
This role will require intermediate-expert levels of Adobe Indesign and able to take corrections into live indesigns, flow text into a document, style paragraphs and characters, use glyphs and layers, resize text/image boxes, and style indexes
