Strategic Housing Manager | Watford Borough Council | £56.26 p/h
The role:
As a Housing Manager you will support the existing Housing Management team during a time of peak demand and transformation.
This role will work with the Associate Director, Housing Strategy Manager and other Housing Managers to deliver on projects and work streams required to deliver the strategic priorities and improvement programme being developed.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead on procurement and commissioning of services
Lead and support on development of policies and strategies, such as a Nominations Policy or Policy for use of commuted sums
Lead on contract management or review of commissioned services
Lead on the review of processes and design of new ways of working
Design and implement a training programme for colleagues
Working strategically with internal and external partners to respond to emerging issues and to address strategic issues; such as responding to the asylum dispersal proposals or development of a business case for emergency temporary accommodation.
Training and mentoring of colleagues in operations, and those stepping up into management and strategic positions
Project development and bid submissions.
Applicant Requirements:
Qualifications: N/A
Experience: 2+ years working in a similar role.
Compliance: Recent DBS check.
Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
