The Wittering, a newly renovated independent gastro pub is seeking an experienced and talented Sous Chef to join their friendly and passionate team.
The ethos at The Wittering is all about championing freshly prepared local produce, developing innovative seasonal menus, all within a free house environment near to the West Wittering beach.
The Wittering is offering support and training from one of our directors, the creative and passionate Head chef Doug Gaunt and the right candidate will enjoy fantastic opportunities for career progression.
You will need to have a broad range of cooking experience, have excellent communication skills and be able to work well within a team and inspire others by leading from the front. Whilst also showing enthusiasm, be energetic and supportive to junior members of the team. Working within a diverse and inclusive environment.
Due to the location of the establishment – a reliable commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Requirements:
* References required.
* At least 3 years professional cooking experience in a similar role.
* Hours: Full time permanent contract.
* Must be able to work weekends – flexible hours offered.

* Salary: £31,000 – £38,000 depending on experience plus tips.
