Sous Chef
Job Type : Permanent, Contract, Full Time
Salary : £28000 – £35000/annum + tips
We are looking to recruit an experienced Sous Chef for a busy, fresh food focused pub in Brighton, East Sussex.
This modern pub-restaurants is individually styled, serving local, seasonal high quality food to a very high standard.
Our client is offering a competitive salary, plus tips with long term career prospects in a well established business.
Your role as a Sous Chef will include:
* Provide consistently excellent fresh food
* Ordering stock and managing profitability
* Financial responsibilities such as gross profits
* Staff rotas
* Motivate and lead a kitchen brigade in the Head Chef’s absence
The successful Sous Chef will have:
* Have at least 1-2 years experience in a similar role
* A background in a busy gastro pub or similar
* Creative talent with fresh ingredients
* Excellent technical skill
* Ability to work under pressure
* A great personality
