Solutions Architect
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £70000 – £75000/annum
Reading – Solutions Architect – Salary £70-75k – Tech
My client are leaders in tech are innovators in the industry. The company are increasingly growing to meet the advancing demands of tech.
Main Duties:
* Champion the technical vision for the product and define a technical roadmap
* Articulate the value of technical work to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Make, justify and guide decisions within client leadership teams
* Build consensus between stakeholders when negotiating complex or controversial technical decisions
* Identify potential solutions to architectural problems, articulating pros/cons of alternative approaches, and assisting stakeholders to reach design clarity
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical guardrails for delivery
* Collaborate with Tech Leads to ensure compliance with guardrails, ensuring technical designs assist delivery of business goals
* Document and explain technical designs to the technical team
* Liaise with the architectural board for enterprise decisions
* Determine and define NFRs
* Identify and articulate technical disputes between direct peers and stakeholders
* Bridge the gap between the technical and non-technical
* Evolve the architecture based on the needs of the product
* Encourage the team to share technical solutions to best fit the architecture
* Facilitate technical discussions to uncover new insights and best practices
Key Skills and Experience:
* Experience in being the voice of technical teams and facilitating relationships with indirect stakeholders
* Experience with bridging gaps between the technical and non-technical
* Knowledge of a variety of languages (Node.js preferable but not essential) for building our web-based applications
* Extensive experience with multiple technologies and distributed systems to support the architectural design and team
* Experience in React and AWS services is preferable
* Extensive experience working in large complex projects within corporate organisations
* Experience with government and GDS
* Extensive experience in building technical roadmaps

The salary for the position is £70-75k depending on experience.
