Our client The James is hiring. While you will be based at The James Sheffield, you will be regularly travelling to their other communities in Liverpool, Manchester, and Birmingham.

About The Company

They are a leading and fast-growing Co-Living and Build-to-Rent (BTR) company, specialising in providing premium and engaging resident experiences in key regional cities across the UK.

They take pride in providing exceptional living experiences to their soon-to-be 300+ residents, and they are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Social Media and Community Manager in order to create and deliver amazing resident experiences.

This role combines the responsibilities of a Social Media Content Creator, Events Coordinator and Marketing Manager, to foster vibrant and engaged communities across their portfolio in Liverpool, Manchester and Sheffield.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Management & Content Creation

* Maintain a high-quality, consistent and engaging social media posting regime across various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X)

* Actively plan and produce videos and other multimedia content for our social media channels, showcasing our properties, residents, and community events

* Develop engaging and relevant content to increase both our external online presence and also for our residents internally, for example creating graphics to be posted on our Residents’ App

* Produce precise and engaging copywriting, appropriate for a largely-millennial and Gen-Z audience

* Collaborate with external freelancers, such as videographers, editors, photographers, etc., to ensure high-quality content production

* Stay up-to-date with social media trends and incorporate them into our content strategy

* Monitor and respond to comments and messages on social media channels in a timely and professional manner

Community Management & Events Coordination:

* Plan and execute engaging, thoughtful and well-budgeted social events at their properties within the portfolio

* Events can range from hikes and beach trips to Christmas parties and yoga sessions – and everything in between. Plus any great event ideas you have!

* Collaborate with property managers, residents, and external vendors to ensure successful event logistics

* Get to know the residents, understand their interests/feedback and create tight-knight communities across our properties

* Ensure all events align with their brand and community-building goals

Role Requirements:

Your Qualities:

* They are looking for someone to be highly proactive and motivated, with a passion for engaging content creation

* Skilled at radiating confidence and charm while taking centre stage in the brand's online content, be it featuring in lively videos and images, or other online content

* Ideally you already have a track record of growing social media accounts across multiple platforms (although not necessarily in the real estate industry!)

* In order to thrive in the job, you’ve got to enjoy spending time with – and working with – lots of people! You’ll be responsible for filling their social calendars and collaborating with them to create great content

Travel:

* This role will be based in Sheffield, but will require regular travel to operational sites in Liverpool and Manchester and, in the future, to The James Birmingham

* Travel expenses will be covered by the company

Qualifications:

* Proven experience in social media management / community management / event coordination / online marketing. A relevant degree is a bonus but not essential

* Proficiency in video content creation and editing, alongside graphic design

* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships

* A high level of creativity and a passion for community building

* Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities
