Salary : £35000 – £60000/annum negotiable, inc benefits

Staff One is an award-winning Recruitment Consultancy working with organisations in the Public and Private Sectors throughout the UK across a range of professional areas.

We are currently working with an award-winning regional construction services provider delivering customer-focused solutions in urban development, residential and industrial & logistics sectors.

Due to our client's ontinued growth and success, we are seeking to appoint an Engineer to join their established project and delivery teams. The role is site-based, with most of their projects in the Yorkshire and East Midlands area, so flexibility to travel within the vicinity is required.

Key Function of the Role:

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be required to accurately set out the works per the drawings and ensure they are constructed per the specification.

The Key Requirements:

* Set out the works using appropriate instruments to an acceptable level of accuracy regarding to the drawing, specification and site instructions

* Check the accuracy of the setting out at all stages of construction

* Provide measurement data to the Quantity Surveyor

* Maintain records of work done and provide sketches/information from drawings and specifications for use by the Foremen and Operatives.

* Understand and apply relevant information to make appropriate decisions which reflect key priorities and requirements

* Help others by providing them with advice and feedback

* Manage own and others' time to meet all project requirements and provide the safest possible working environment

* Monitor and audit the quality of own and others' work and

* Understand the procedures, processes and legislation required.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

* HNC/HND in a relevant discipline

* A valid CSCS card and have completed SMSTS (desirable but not essential as job-related training will be provided)

* Previous experience of working on a wide range of construction projects including highways, drainage, bridges, groundworks, structures and general construction projects

* A proven track record of completing large projects on schedule and within budget

* Practical experience of managing and setting sub-contractors to work

* Experience of computer programmes, including CAD and Microsoft Office

* A full UK driving licence; this opportunity will involve travel regularly.
