Service Engineer
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £15.50 – £16.50/hour Overtime
Brightwork’s client is currently recruiting a Service Engineer for their site in Alnwick, where you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs and services on customers machines.
Purpose of Role
Repairing, maintaining and servicing machines on site and off site for customers and contracted partners. Working closely with supervisor and depot manager to ensure quality of service. Supporting colleagues with technical queries and problem solving. Building relationships with colleagues and customers is key in the role.
Main Responsibilities:
Repairing and maintaining machines on customers sites as required to ensure conformance with manufacturers specification
Completing all paperwork daily
Accurately ordering parts and working closely with the parts department
Inspections and repairs to be carried on machines at the depot and in conformance with manufacturer’s specification
Ensure machinery no deficiency or faults likely to affect the safe working of the machine or equipment
Notifying management and supervisor of any defective or unsafe equipment
Key Skills:
City and Guild, NVQ or SVQ qualifications in construction plan maintenance
Experience in construction plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics and transmissions and fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment
Prioritise tasks and work well in a busy environment
Strong customer service and the ability to build rapport with them
IT skills
Flexible and positive outlook with an outgoing approach to work
