Our client are a multi-disciplinary consultancy practice who provide high quality geotechnical, environmental and ecological services to a wide range of clients in the development, public, financial and utility markets. Due to their continuing success and expansion they currently require the following:

This is an excellent opportunity for a Geo-Environmental Consultant with approximately 5 to 10 years’ experience with a site investigation contractor or consultancy to join a rapidly expanding geo-environmental consultancy.

The successful candidate is expected to have a good first degree in Environmental Geology/Geotechnical Engineering or similar with relevant experience which should include extensive experience of environmental site investigation techniques and logging to BS5930, geotechnical and environmental interpretation and a working knowledge of current contaminated land requirements.

An MSc or similar post graduate qualification would be advantageous.

The role is highly varied, and the successful candidate will be actively involved in the day to day project management of Geo-environmental Phase 1 and Phase 2 site investigations across the UK and the preparation of interpretative geotechnical and environmental reports. Our client also design, oversee and validate remediation works, and aspects of these works will also be undertaken by the appointed candidate. A good knowledge of standard computer programmes such as MS Office is essential and a basic knowledge of AutoCAD would be advantageous (although not essential). Training will be provided both on a mentoring basis and from external courses.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake site based fieldwork throughout the UK, therefore, a full driving licence is considered essential. The Malvern Hills are an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and as well as walking they provide excellent mountain biking trails as well as other pursuits such as parascending and horse riding. Malvern has some excellent schools and has direct train links to both London and Birmingham with the motorway network (M5) around 6 miles away.
