Senior Accountant
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £40000 – £50000/annum
Senior Accountant – key requirements
* ACCA / ACA qualified
* 2 – 4 years of PQE
* Very good working knowledge of both Quickbooks and Xero
* Ability to manage the workflow of the team to identify / prevent bottlenecks, train and supervise junior bookkeeping / accounting staff
* Should be comfortable reviewing the accounts / returns prepared by accountants, ready to send to clients
* Strong client facing skills and an ability to build good relationships with clients – will have current experience of conducting accounts and tax return finalisation meetings with clients etc
* The candidate will be responsible for holding the client relationship, managing all deadlines and attending some client meetings.
* Opportunity to get involved in business development, client signons including fee negotiations
* Would suit someone with a few years post qualification experience and taking on more responsibility to move up the career ladder
* Not with standing their relative seniority within the team, the candidate should be willing (and able) to chip in where necessary during busy periods to actually do some of the work to help the team out, bearing in mind that we are only a small team.
