Senior Accountant
Nicholas Hendry have partnered with a reputable accountancy practice based in Inverness & Highlands, we are looking to hire an experienced Senior Accountant within practice that has experience of working closely with clients to prepare accurate statutory financial statements from client information, working with a broad portfolio of SME clients, ensuring all deadlines are met and to help manage, support, and develop a team of junior trainee accountants.
This is a permanent, full-time role that is based in the Inverness & Highlands area.
Responsibilities
* Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
* Preparing monthly & quarterly management accounts
* Drafting personal and corporate tax computations
* Processing journals, accruals, and prepayments
* Preparing VAT returns
* Ad hoc bookkeeping duties as required
* Managing a team of trainee accountants
Requirements
* 5+ years’ experience in an accountancy practice – essential
* Experience of managing a team within an accountancy practice
* Excellent working knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero and Sage
* Comfortable working to strict deadlines
* Exceptional communication skills
Qualifications
Fully Qualified ACCA / ICAS or Qualified by Experience
