Grade A Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a school that provide a highly specialist learning environment for students aged 6 to 19 who have a range of MLD and SLD needs including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, PDA, and associated difficulties, who require an individualised, specialist approach.
This school also has an additional provision for students with complex medical needs and sensory/ physical impairments. All the students have robust EHCPs. Many of them are supported with sensory overload, anxiety, low self-esteem, low confidence, and difficulty with transition which is often demonstrative through their behaviours.
The school has a high staff to student ratio and classes are small and personal.
Grade A Recruitment are seeking SEND Teaching Assistants who wish to rise to the challenge of assisting students within their day-to-day lessons.
The successful Teaching Assistants will have experience of working with Special Educational Needs children, can create a supportive structure within young people’s lives, be outgoing and willing to rise to any challenge.
Team Teach training will benefit this role, however it is not essential for successful applicants.
Location: Royston
Salary: £70.50 per day
Hours: 08:30 – 16:00 Monday – Friday (The school day runs from 09:30 to 12:00 with a break for lunchtime and again from 13:30 to 15:45)
