We have an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded individual to join our client as an Internal sales Executive at their recently acquired site based in Corby, Northamptonshire.
An independently family run business who specialise in state of the-art laser cutting and forming technology, which has been constantly expanding.
The Role:
Processing customer quotations and securing orders consisting of both stock, and back to back sales of various materials.
Maintaining and developing current customer relationships, as well as increasing the existing customer database.
Key Responsibilities:
• Learning and understanding about different grades and uses of ferrous, and non-ferrous metals.
• Building relationships with new and existing customers in order maximise profit on all
orders.
• Understanding processing capabilities, and then upselling them to customers.
• Following through orders from quotation to P.O.D, ensuring the customer receives the best service possible.
• Identifying areas to develop on individual accounts.
• Building good working relationships with suppliers to ensure the best cost prices are
achieved.
Required Attributes
• Strong personality and confident on the phone, as well as face to face when required.
• Fast learner and able to pick up and develop new skills.
• Good mathematical skills, working out weights, kilo rates and margins.
• The ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Being proactive during quiet periods to generate enquiries.
Desired Experience:
We are looking for someone with experience in a sales, manufacturing,or a purchasing role. A background in any type of the metal industry would be a massive
advantage.
