BelkavitzSloan are proud recruitment partners to a Precision Engineering and Fabrication company with capabilities including CNC machining, milling, turning, grinding broaching through to the design and build of engineered parts and components. This company are a prolific supplier of parts into the food and beverage industry with a focus on conveyor, material handling systems including spares and refurbishment services, all done in house.
Due to continues success and expansion, this company now require a Business Development Manager to promote and sell the companies range of conveyor belts and solutions into the FMCG, F&B, and manufacturing sectors with a focus on the East Midlands including, Leicester, Northampton, Coventry, Peterborough, Cambridge, Milton Keynes, Luton and Oxfordshire areas. The product focus will be Fabricated Belts, transmission and drive belts, plastic modular belts, and chains. This is a specialist sales role which requires specific knowledge and experience within the conveyor belt supply chain including direct sales of spares, repairs and refurbishment services offering the complete material handling solution to a new and existing client base with a focus on obtaining new business.
The Job
The role of Business Development Manager is a highly autonomous sales role which will require solid knowledge of the client landscape through the East Midland area. The position will include,
* Planning of your diary and time management to allocate time to visiting existing clients and ensuring that the company’s products and services are fully utilised by the company.
* Networking, sourcing, and identifying new business within the East Midlands with a focus on FMCG, Food&Bev, engineering, and manufacturing sectors.
* Attending trade shows, customer visits and seminars to promote products and engineering solutions to end users.
* Manage a substantial territory with a focus on a 50mile radius around the Northamptonshire region.
* Achieve set targets for volume, turnover and margin.
* Analyse, identify, plan, and execute sales activities to deliver strong customer portfolio growth.
Candidate MUST have
* Experience working with a manufacturer of conveyor belt systems.
* An excellent track of increasing sales and developing business within the conveyor belt distribution industry.
* Good appreciation of the client landscape throughout the East midlands, with a network of buyers who regularly procure, gearboxes, pumps, conveyor belts, spares and utilise refurbishment services.
