My client, a national leader within multi-media publication is recruiting for a qualified and experienced Reporter based in Aberdeen, Scotland.
You will join a fantastic team of reporters and provide well-written, informative copy, present us with regular ideas for stories, investigations and news features and write both for our print edition and digital platform
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver high-quality, thoroughly researched, accurate and well-written content that will engage and be of interest to our readers.
*Demonstrate a sound knowledge of current affairs in West Lothian.
*Build strong contacts within local communities to write and bring stories to our readers which are informative and of public interest.
*Possess a thorough, up-to-date knowledge of media law and industry guidelines.
The Ideal Candidate
*NCTJ qualification or equivalent / relevant work experience
*Excellent writing skills
*You will be confident in building strong relationships and connections within the wider communities within West Lothian, so you are able to source and provide news stories which are important to them.
*News moves quickly, so you must be able to work just as fast, adapt to this environment and work well under pressure.
*You will be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written.
