Quality Manager
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £35000 – £45000/annum
With its headquarters in Northern Ireland and a large processing plant in Yorkshire, this meat free business supplies multiple retailers with fresh and own branded vegan & vegetarian products. The have grown from a small family business to a £50m T/0 concern who is currently doubling the size of the operational area in NI as a result of huge increased demands for their products.
The Quality Manager will oversee the Quality & Hygiene Department and lead a team of QA/ QC's / Technician, with responsibility for site food safety and quality, relevant systems policies, procedures and equipment. Leading audits, complaints and generally being the onsite Food safety and quality point of contact.
We are seeking a strong Manager with a high attention to detail and the gravitas to lead a team of differing characters, adapting their style to promote the objective of common goals.
Key responsibilities will include;
* Ensuring that the site’s quality and hygiene systems meet the requirements of each respective customer, as well as ensuring compliance with all legislative and industry guidelines and regulations
* Managing key interactions with customers and outside agencies / suppliers
* Driving Continuous Improvement
* Recruit, train, motivate, supervise, coach & develop team members
* Champion industry best practices and promote the introduction of new technologies
* Implement, develop, maintain and improve a GMP audit system
* Risk assessments
* Gap analysis
* Ensure Food Safety; HACCP, TACCP & VACCP
* Waste Management
Some occassional travel between the two sites may be required.
