Health Safety & Environmental Officer
Salary up to £38,000 (Negoiciable dependant on experience)
Based Dungannon
LWS Services have been retained by a leading manufacturer and supplier of recycling machinery. Due to expansion, there is now an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join their rapidly expending team in Dungannon.
Key responsibilities
* Support the business to improve the Health, Safety aspects of the Company
* Ensure the business is compliant with legislative requirements
* Develop and implement the Health and Safety Policy, ensuring all working practices are safe
* Conduct risk assessments and reviews, including COSHH, environmental impact, manual handling etc. developing safe systems of work
* Manage employee training matrix, ensuring training needs are met
* Conduct regular site audits to monitor compliance with HSE requirements, devising subsequent corrective action plans
* Reporting on incidents and accidents and producing statistics
* Maintenance of records on Health, Safety and Environmental issues, adhering to legislative requirements
Essential Experience:
* Experience in implementing ISOs
* NEBOSH General certified essential
Experience & Skills required:
* Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role
* Sound working knowledge of HSE legislation and handling health and safety issues
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
* Strong negotiating, analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent IT skills
* Willingness to contribute to company improvement projects and business plans
* Experience in the manufacturing or engineering industry is desirable
