Requires a proven Quality Engineer.
You will be responsible for managing internal and Customer quality related issues, liaising directly with customers on reject management, effectiveness and control of all quality systems, documentation and standards from incoming materials to finished products and beyond into their service life.
Reporting to the QHSE Manager your duties will include: –
* Integral part of the quality team
* Compliance & development of the quality system including internal auditing
* Management and resolution of customer quality issues.
* Championing of all PFMEA, APQP, SPC, PPAP, ISIR, PSW & 8D activities
* Ownership of Calibration system
* Use of CMM (PC-DMIS & Aberlink)
* Assist in achievement of company KPI’s
The successful candidate will have a solid Quality Engineering background gained either directly from an OEM or from a leading automotive Tier 1 business, ideally with direct diecasting experience or from within a closely related discipline. This individual should have a good understanding of drawing requirements, they must be able to quickly interpret drawings, models and CAD detail, using that information to develop suitable measuring and checking methods.
Ideally qualified to degree level within a suitable engineering disciple, be prepared to travel within the UK as required, and be articulate and able to clearly communicate in any medium.
39 hours per week – Mon –Thurs 08:00 – 17:00, Fri 08:00 – 13:00
Salary up to £35,000
