Growers & suppliers of fresh produce to major UK supermarkets, our clients are known for their friendly culture. As a result of their continued success, we are now seeking a Quality Auditor who's main function will be to assess and report on the raw product arriving at goods inward, in stores, in production and at the point of dispatch.
You must have previous fresh produce experience, understanding the fast moving and flexible environment. Decisive, confident and assertive, this key role requires an excellent communicator to expertly ensure the businesses customer expectations of first class product & quality!
Accountabilities & decision ownership include;
* Receiving, reviewing against specifications, recording details and taking samples of all incoming /packed / outgoing produce
* Checking and recording transport conditions, reporting any unsatisfactory conditions
* Assessing weights, colours and defects to ensure that produce is within customer specification
* Assessing problems which require further attention or inspection
* Completing reports accurately and communicating to relevant business units
* Setting maintaining and reporting on standards of quality against a defined schedule within production
* Coach production employees on correct procedures & requirements
* Monitor quality at all stages of operations
* Ensuring all technical equipment is checked and re-calibrated
* Completing all necessary paperwork to comply with customer & BRC
The position works on a 2-2-3 shift pattern, with an average hourly week of 39.38, day shift with weekend availability required.
