We currently have two positions available at our Alton production unit for production welders to join us on a permanent basis.

You will need previous experience MIG welding, a great attention to detail, and a fantastic work ethic to succeed in this role.

Main Purpose for this Role 

To be a key team member within the production department utilising your previous experience as a MIG welder, working with mild steel. 

Shifts available

· 05.45am – 2.15pm 

· 1.45pm – 10.15pm

· 9.45pm – 6.15am

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Primarily working with mild Steel parts that will be required to Weld.

2. As a Welder you will be required to weld a variety of sheet, hollow section and pipe products primarily for process engineering and utility clients.

3. Expected to have worked with a variation of thickness of metals.

4. Working from Engineering drawings

5. Required to work within a fast paced environment working to a high standard.

6. To work in a safe environment and ensure H&S legislations are adhered to

7. Required to drive a forklift truck and operate an overhead crane

8. Housekeeping within the immediate working area

Basic Skills Required

· Teamwork

· Good Planning and organisational skills

· MIG Welding Experience 

· Ability to read and understand engineering drawings 

· Forklift experience 

· Overhead Crain experience ( Can be taught )

· Ability to work efficiently under pressure.

· Accuracy and attention to details.

· Good, clear communication skills.

· Have a can do, problem solving attitude and ability to work fast paced in a high-pressure environment.
