Cordant People are delighted to be recruiting for a highly motivated Production Team Leader for market leader in fresh and prepared produce! 

Salary: £30 000 per annum
Location: Cupar
Contract: Permanent

A successful candidate will need to effectively lead, develop and manage their team to ensure the delivery of results and achieve targets in line with company objectives. The Team Leader will be responsible for Machine Controllers, Line Operatives, Logistics Operatives, Process Workers, Packers and PSO's.

Day in the life as a Production Team Leader:
Manage the ongoing job performance of the members of the team who fall under their direct control.
Ensure that business training and development is organised and delivered.
Prioritise and execute plans in line with the operations and business objectives.
Challenge, investigate and correct non-conformances.
Develop the team in line with company values and policies to maximise employee efficiency.
Monitor and review team members performance on an ongoing basis in order to ensure that targets are met.
Provide ongoing feedback to team members.
Review team members & individual performance via Appraisals.
Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
Promote a culture of Continuous Improvement within work area.
Effectively manage budgets including fixed and variable costs.
Manage and assess the work area in order to ensure that Health, Safety, Welfare and Environmental responsibilities are not compromised.
Ensure company Hygiene and Food Safety rules are fully adhered to within their team.
Ensure that all critical control procedures are adhered to.
Manage resources in order to maximise the effectiveness of the team.
Achieve both internal and external quality standards through the management of processes and people.
Effective use of information in order to communicate and influence.
Support the site Food Safety Culture and improvement objectives.What we are looking for in a Production Team Leader:
Provides a high standard of operational leadership.
Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills and their use in leading and managing individuals and teams.
A proven track record of highly effective planning and organising and the ability to cope with a demanding work environment.
The ability to show resilience and recover quickly from setbacks.
To be a clear communicator, verbal and written.
Have worked in the Food Manufacturing Industry and have a good knowledge of hygiene rules and procedures associated.
