Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for 2 Production Operatives to join our food manufacturing team at Agrial Fresh Produce in Wigan.
Pay: £11.40 per hour
Working hours: 5 days out of 7, shift pattern to be confirmed at interview stage. 7am – 4pm.
About Us
Agrial Fresh Produce is one of three UK food manufacturing factories who are owned by the French co-operative group, Agrial. Agrial has operations across 18 regions with 280 farming outlets and it's not just about lettuce!
As well as the 3 factories we also have a farming operation – Agrial Fresh Farms. All UK sites operate under the name of Agrial Fresh Produce Limited and fall under Agrial's vegetable division. The business is more recognisable in the UK by its Florette salad brand and we are now one of the UK’s leading producers in the industry. We have a recipe for success through our EPIC values and working together as one team.
Our Wigan site is a well-established business unit that processes and distributes pre-packed, ready to eat, fresh salad bags and bowls to some of the UK's well-known retailers and restaurants. We are based on Martland Park Industrial Estate, which is ideal for travel on the M61, M6 and M62.
Main Responsibilities
* To work within any department across our Operation in a temperature controlled production unit of 2-7 degrees. Ensure care and effort is employed at all times.
* Ensure that all site rules and regulations relating to personal hygiene, food safety and statutory health and safety are met at all times.
* To ensure quality assurance on the line is carried out to a consistently high standard.
* Keep your designated work area clean and safe (clean as you go) and report any concerns to the zone leader.
* To work with speed and efficiency to ensure product is at a high standard and targets are met.
* To work in whichever department you are allocated to meet the needs of the business.
Skills and Experience Required
* Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
* To have 1 years Manufacturing Experience, ideally gained within a chilled food production environment
