Press and Media Officer – FTC

NonStop Consulting is looking to recruit a Press and Media Officer for a private utility company responsible for the public wastewater collection and treatment. This is a fixed term contract (9 months)opportunity in Durrington(Worthing) / hybrid
The client is looking for a professional who will play a key role in developing and placing content that tells their story across all types of media – print, broadcast and digital. Working closely with teams from across the business you'll create media campaigns that protect and enhance their reputation. You'll also be frontline in a busy press office environment, establishing facts and getting to the heart of an issue; you'll create responses and talk to journalists so that the client's voice is heard.
Requirements:
Understands the media landscape, particularly regional and trade press.
Previous experience in engaging with journalists and media outlets reactively and proactively.
Extensive experience in building campaigns that secure positive coverage to meet business objectives.
Very organized individual and your writing skills are one of your strongest assets.
Extensive media relations experience
