We are currently recruiting for an PR & Social Media Manager to join us at the UK’s favourite children’s theme park; the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort. The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is the ultimate destination for families with children age 2-12. The Resort is home to two awesome LEGO themed Hotels and a host of rides, shows and attractions built around the iconic LEGO® brick. This role is based at the Windsor theme park, located in 150 acres of beautiful parkland.

This year we’re celebrating the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort turning 25, 25 years of building memories, 25 years of family fun and 25 years of everything being awesome! Reporting to the Head of PR the PR & Social Media Manager will deliver best-in-class external communications to position the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort as the first and favourite theme park destination for children aged 2-12 and their families.

The PR and Social Media Manager will also support with all crisis and issues communications to protect the reputation of the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort and provide out of hours’ counsel to the business when required.

The job of a PR & Social Media Manager will involve:

* Work closely with the Head of PR to develop and deliver the Resort’s PR and social media campaigns, activations and events, generating positive publicity across a wide range of channels, including TV, radio, print, online and social.

* Proactively identify news generation and newsjacking opportunities ensuring we maximises all publicity opportunities as part of its always on external communications strategy.

* Manage media, celebrity and influencer press trips

* Manage all the consumer-facing social media platforms for the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn, ensuring the look, feel and tone of voice represents our brand values.

* Support Head of Marketing with paid-for social media activity, working with agencies as necessary, as ensuring all content is accurately targeted to deliver the biggest return on investment.

We are looking for the following skills and experience:

* External communications experience within a PR agency or in-house PR/Social Media team

* Previous Crisis & Issues Management Experience required.

* Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and to tight and variable deadlines

* Excellent writing skills.

* Excellent communicator with confidence to handle complex issues, challenge decisions where necessary and provide counsel at all levels of the business.

* Good working knowledge of the UK media, preferably with established portfolio of media contacts and media trained.

* Good working knowledge of social media marketing, preferably with experience of social media management tools and experience of running paid-for social media campaigns and producing organic content.

* Proven experience of managing budgets and external agencies.
