Salary : £38000 – £40000/annum

We are working on a new Editor role for a scientific media company who publish a fantastic array of multi-format content aimed at the scientific community, such as news articles, product reviews, infographics, video interviews with award winning scientists, and much more.

This Editor role will take the lead on all editorial elements and content in the field of pharmaceuticals, managing all aspects of content ideation and delivery, including audience engagement and social media content. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure timely, high-quality content creation, and drive the Pharma content strategy by staying updated on industry advances and expanding your network of scientists and pharma experts. Set and achieve KPIs for content output and engagement. Report to the Managing Editor and assist with all pharma and applied sciences matters.

They are based near Bath and offering hybrid working with ideally 2 days a week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop content strategy for all pharma and applied sciences matters
Manage content output and performance according to agreed targets
Establish a social media program and manage engagement
Coordinate events in your assigned portfolio including attendance and media partnerships
Support sales through participation in calls and meetings with sponsors.
Attend industry events, providing targeted content and coverage
Proof and edit pharma and applied sciences copy

The ideal candidate will have a solid scientific background (a degree in Life Sciences is an essential requirement for this role) and experience working as part of an editorial team to create engaging and relevant digital content.
