Media Executive
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £19500 – £24000/annum
The Role
Assisting Performance Managers and Senior Media Executives with the planning, buying and administration of first-class media campaigns. The role involves implementing media bookings, researching media opportunities, liaising with clients, creative agencies and internal specialists, and to assist on the reporting on the impact of media activity.
Communication
Skilled telephone communicator with clients/suppliers/senior colleagues. Confidently communicates with clients and suppliers by email in a detailed, informed manner.
Role Management
Regular phone contact with clients, building rapport and relationship. Successfully offers reassurance to clients where and when appropriate. Regularly attends and contributes to team and supplier meetings e.g., lead a section of the meetings, asks questions and follows up with team members Behaves professionally at all times with both colleagues and external stakeholders. Asks for guidance if professional norms are not clear.
Commercial acumen
Regularly negotiates improved rates for clients, securing added value where possible.
Leadership & Initiative
Provides guidance to clients and agency partners – media schedules, creative specs etc. Displays a proactive approach in advancing their own media knowledge and soft skills. Proactively manages deadlines relating to your own client accounts e.g. monthly reports, creative deadlines.
Strategic Excellence
Sound basic knowledge of most media channels, with a strong foundation of relationships with key media owners and a thorough understanding of terms of business.
