INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY SOLICITOR

Our client, a multi-accredited law firm in Sheffield is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic solicitor who specialises in intellectual property to join their team.  The successful candidate will manage a caseload of hard and litigated intellectual property matters and will have the opportunity to work from home or the office – office bases being in the following cities – Birmingham, Cambridge, London, Manchester, Oxford or Sheffield.

This opportunity is suited to solicitors of 2-8 years PQE with wide ranging commercial technology, digital media and IT experience from an in-house or private practice background.
If you like working with driven entrepreneurial businesses providing innovative and creative solutions in the field of Software, Hardware, Information Security, Privacy and Cyber, Fintech, AI and Machine Learning, IoT, Business Intelligence, Consumer Tech, Facilities Management, Digital Commerce, Mobile Apps and Gaming, Smart City technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Greentech, Cleantech, Blockchain, Healthcare and Biotech (to name a few) we’re interested in you.
Plain English commercial advice and strong negotiation and drafting skills are a must.
As is a good handle on IP and data protection issues in technology contracts to work with our specialist business teams.
 
The Candidate

Solicitors with at least 2 years’ experience in intellectual property matters 
Is personable, professional and detail orientated
Good organisational, time management and IT skills are necessary
A team player with an aptitude for business development
Strives for high standards in their work
Works well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
