Are you a Company Commercial Solicitor looking for a new role? Sue Ross Legal are working with a highly regarded Sheffield-based law firm who are looking for an experienced Paralegal/ NQ Solicitor to join their Legal 500 recommended Company Commercial department. The firm are well established, having gained a fantastic reputation for providing exceptional client care; They pride themselves on providing a service that’s responsive, commercially astute, and in the best interest of their clients.
As a Company Commercial Solicitor, you will be working closely with the Partner and Head of Department which offers the opportunity to provide an effective range of legal services to clients and gain extensive experience in a full range of transactions locally, and across the UK.
Key duties will include:
* Collating due diligence information and replying to pre-contract enquiries.
* Drafting reports to clients in relation to due diligence information supplied.
* Assembling disclosure bundles.
* Preparing replies to Lender’s Conditions Precedent.
* Post-completion work, including registering charges and debentures at Companies House and paying Stamp Duty to HMRC.
* Drafting ancillary documents, e.g., Board Minutes, Shareholder Resolutions and Letters of Resignation.
Preparing applications to the Care Quality Commission in relation to changes of ownership at dental practices.
* Liaising with Clients and other legal professionals.
There is a full body of work available upon arrival and therefor experience within Company Commercial is essential in order to begin working on these files immediately under minimal supervision. The firm will consider a candidate who is an experienced Paralegal/ NQ level or above. The suitable candidate will be an ambitious individual, keen to join a busy, high-street firm in a varied role.
This is a full time, permeant position, based in the city centre of Sheffield. Salary will be reflective on experience, and hybrid working will be available for the suitable candidate.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Working knowledge in Company Commercial, and or corporate law is required.
* Ability to work effectively within different teams but also to feel confident working autonomously.
* Microsoft Office including Word and Excel is essential, and experience of Partner for Windows is desirable.
* Excellent communication and client care skills.
* Ability to organise and prioritise workload within the required timescales.
* An understanding of the need for confidentiality and discretion, which are essential for working in a solicitor’s firm.
