Clinical Negligence Solicitor

Our progressive client is looking for a Clinical Negligence Fee Earner to join their team in Farringdon, London.
The firm is part of a wider group of companies, with a sister firm, based in Manchester. They have sophisticated and dedicated Case Management Systems and support staff to assist fee earners.
Fee earners also benefit from dictation software, bundling software and legal resource subscriptions. applicant must be an experienced fee earner, either a solicitor or legal executive, who has been working in a Claimant Clinical Negligence department for at least 3 years.
The applicant should have at least 2 years’ experience managing their own clinical negligence caseloads. We would expect the applicant to be between 2-3 years PQE.
You will be taking on an existing workload and so will be expected to “hit the ground running” and should be able to use your knowledge of litigation to push cases towards settlement. You be supervised by a Senior Clinical Negligence Lawyer and supported where necessary.
They are looking for an applicant who is keen to reach billing targets. Fee earners have both personal and team billing targets. Specters is keen to reward fee earners who meet or exceed their personal and team billing targets.
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a clear knowledge and experience of the subject and have worked on a variety of cases. They must also have an awareness in relation to the handling of data in compliance with legislation and guidelines set out, including but not limited to GDPR, FCA, SRA. A knowledge of ISO27001 would also be desirable.
Requirements also include excellent communication and client care skills, self-motivation and willingness to expand their knowledge, willing to collaborate and develop within a team, ability to empathise with clients and good experience in this area of law.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
* Fee earner managing own case load of around 35 established clinical negligence cases, including litigated and non-litigated cases of varying degrees of complexity and value.
* Compliance with data legislation
* Compiling regular articles for our website
* Maintaining high client care standards
Qualification and Experience:
More than 2 years qualified solicitor with at least 3 years working in a claimant clinical negligence department
