The role:
We are looking for a Kitchen Manager to join the Wasabi team. This is a key role in supporting the smooth running of the branch where you'll be managing the kitchen team to ensure our food is produced to the highest standards, whilst complying with food safety control measures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the team rota and coordinate team activities whilst on shift
* Maintaining a high standard of food quality and production quantity
* Maintain all food production equipment
* Promote food safety and health safety practices in the kitchen
* Control stock to minimize food waste
* Manage the food ordering process from our central production unit
Requirements:
This role would suit someone with excellent people skills who enjoys managing and motivating a team, with previous experience in a high volume food production environment (in manufacturing or catering). In addition, the ideal candidate would have:
* Experience in managing a team
* Ability to work at pace, whilst maintaining high standards with an eye for detail
* Outstanding problem solving and organisational skills
* Comfortable using basic ordering software (training will be provided)
* Excellent communication skills
