Kennels/Transport Officer

Salary : £14.70/annum
One of our local authority clients are currently recruiting for a Kennels/Transport Officer. This is a temporary contract for 2 months with possible further extension based on budget and performance.
Main Purpose of Post/Job Summary
The successful post holder will ensure that all dogs at the Councils kennelling facility are properly cared for and in good health. This will include the cleansing of the kennels and other areas, provision of suitable food, water, bedding, exercise, veterinary care and sleeping considerations. This will include the transportation of dogs as required.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Transport dogs using the council vehicle
* To ensure that all kennelled dogs are properly cared for and in good health.
* To maintain Kennel Facility and equipment in a clean, sanitary, hygienic and tidy condition at all times.
* To maintain clear and accurate records.
* Assist in emergencies concerning animals.
* Work shift pattern and work outside normal hours.
