About the school:
The School is a mixed Secondary School for students aged from 11 to 16 years with around 780 students in total. The School is based close to Southampton and the school was graded as a Good School in its last Ofsted inspection and continues to perform well.
Key Responsibilities:
– Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in humanities subjects (History, Geography, and Religious Studies) to students of various age groups.
– Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
– Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and intellectual curiosity.
– Assess and provide constructive feedback on student progress, maintaining accurate records of their academic achievements.
– Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and contribute to the development of the humanities curriculum.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
– Specialisation in humanities subjects (History, Geography, or Religious Studies).
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– A passion for creating a positive and dynamic learning environment.
Experience:
– Previous teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory.
– Enthusiasm for staying updated on current educational practices and a commitment to professional development.
– Maintaining accurate records of students' performance and achievements
