Salary : £250 – £300/annum Inside IR35

8-9 Months Contract

Hybrid – Chichester presence 1X per week is essential

Position Summary:

* The HRBP role is based within the wider HR&OD Team but specifically supports the Fire Service.

* Working for a Local Authority.

Key Duties:

* Works with the business to ensure that it has the appropriate capacity, capability and engagement levels for the short-, medium- and long-term horizons and creates an engaging work environment.

* Drives HR and Organisational Change programmes and initiatives within Directorates and/or Services.

* Supports the delivery of talent management, succession and high performance and potential strategies and processes.

* Delivers consultation with Trade Unions, as necessary, in support of the Directorates and HR Senior Business Partners.

* Supports the day-to-day operational delivery of People Plans and activities, defined and led by specialist HR teams and HR Senior Business Partners. Supervises (often by matrix management) a small group of colleagues in order to deliver outcomes, allocating and checking work, and providing development and coaching as required.

Candidate Experience:

* Must be comfortable and have experience of analysing workforce data, presenting KPI reports on ER/HR case management data and trends to senior managers within the Fire Service.

* Will provide advice to Management Teams and Managers within the Fire Service relating to People Management matters with particular emphasis on handling complex cases.

* Should be confident in handling of HR change management interventions /Restructures.

* Attend / Facilitate relevant Management meetings, Joint Consultative Committee and other forums/group meetings to support Managers and provide advice as necessary.

* Supervise x1 HR Advisor relating to HR Case Management and act as escalation points for HR Advisor for their cases queries.

Working arrangement:

* Mainly working from home but should be able to attend work base at County Hall, Chichester at least once a week for occasional meetings / Team Meetings etc.

* The individual is also able to hot desk at any of the 25 Fire Stations dotted around the County if that also suits them
