South Staffordshire College is looking to employ a passionate, innovative and enthusiastic practitioner to join our Land based team at our Rodbaston Campus to inspire our Horticulture apprentices.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years current occupational experience in the Horticultural industry with experience in one or more of the following specialisms: hard landscaping, sports turf or greenkeeping and hold an appropriate qualification in Horticulture at Level 3 or higher.

An Assessors qualification (A1 or equivalent) with assessing experience at Level 2 and Level 3 or above in your sector is essential. A teaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS) and Internal Verification (V1 or equivalent) qualification is desirable.

An understanding of the apprenticeship standards and the ability to deliver all aspects, including functional skills is desirable.

Good communication skills, the ability to work as a team and to use your own initiative will be essential to your success as well as a clean driving licence and willingness to travel as you will be frequently off site.
