Head of Finance, HR & Operations
Job Type : Permanent, Part Time, Part Time
Salary : £75000 – £85000/annum
My client is a culture-first creative agency head-quartered in central London. They build campaigns that are strategically smart and creatively bold. Although small, they are a diverse, fast-growing outfit with an exciting future!
Reporting into the Global Managing Director, the Head of Finance & Op’s will be offered a hybrid working role. Paying circa £80,000 per annum full time equivalent. The job is offered on a 3 day a week basis. It’s possible the role will grow to 4 days a week or full time in the future IF the successful candidate desired.
This is a broad mixed finance position, key responsibilities:
Preparation of Board Packs
Full preparation of Monthly Management accounts
Consolidation of across the group for the MD
Monthly variance reporting to budget & earlier years
Correspondence with third parties to assist with annual financial statements
Control of a tight SME cash flow
Preparation of cash flow forecasts
Assist MD with the annual budgeting process, track & refine
Manage monthly payroll and pensions for London and SE Asia offices
Manage VAT/GST quarterly returns
Communicate directly with external accountants & lawyers
Development of staff training and CPD
Control & development of notion
Weekly KPI reporting
Work with Production Director on weekly & monthly gross profit project management
Work closely with the Production team during the budgeting process and throughout the course of a project to ensure margins are maintained
Help implement a set of scalable financial and operational controls
Ad hoc financial analysis
Preparation of CT41G & interest certificates
Global insurance policies / relationships
Running full recruitment process in line with current EDI
Project – work with internal teams to improve time control processes
Complete HR function with assistance from external parties
You will be:
An accomplished SME (1-20m t/o business) Head of Finance
Have had HR oversight in a company
Hands on, ready to swap between tasks as and when required
Have a confident outgoing personality, not afraid to ask questions & suggest improvement to processes
A brilliant communicator and able to explain finance matters in layman terms
Super organised
Calm under pressure
Excellent attention to detail
Strong excel skills
Qualified academically (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
