We are looking for a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join our team based in Denby. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, flexible, willing to learn and who wants to make a difference and drive standards.

Main responsibilities for the Grounds Maintenance Team Leader:

Leading a small team and carrying out scheduled work to a high standard

General maintenance of site – Grass cutting, pruning, leaf collection, weed control, etc.

Use of a range of hand and powered equipment and ride-on mowers

Setting out and overmarking of sports pitches and upkeep of artificial/synthetic surfaces

Ensure company H&S policies are adhered to

Making sure all daily checks have been completed by the team on relevant plant and machinery.

Completion of all necessary job records

The successful applicant will have:

Experience in commercial or amenity grounds maintenance

Good communication and liaison skills

Ability to work under own initiative

Clean current driving licence

Possession of PA1 and PA6 Pesticide Application Certificates

Desirable:

Good plant knowledge

Horticultural qualification

Experience of towing a trailer
