£32,000 – £35,000 per annum

We are looking for a Ground Maintenance Supervisor to join our clients team in Camden.

Key Tasks:

* Lead the front-line process for maintaining designated parks, green spaces, housing estates and horticultural features.

* Supervise teams of grounds maintenance operatives / gardeners, park keepers, playpark inspectors and horticulturists.

* Manage local contract performance relating to grounds maintenance operations.

* Plan organise and design bedding and other planting schemes relating to grounds maintenance within designated sites.

* Undertake staff training, safety briefings, safety tours and inspections.

* Ensure successful application of safety procedures including risk assessments, method statements, COSHH and vehicles.

* To deal with client enquiries and complaints, attending meetings when necessary.

* Monitor and engage grounds maintenance operatives / gardeners to ensure work schedule are delivered in a timely manner and safety standards are adhered to at all times.

* Provide a front-line presence and good company image to park users, open spaces and housing estates whilst on duty.

* Deputise for line manager as required during periods of absence.

* On-call commitment relating to entire contract and staff engaged on out-of-hours and weekend work.

* Operate and maintain plant and machinery.

* Ensure all paperwork relevant to the role is fully completed and submitted.

* Co-ordinate client rectifications, defaults and improvement notices to ensure a timely response for remedial action.

* Undertake multiple site inspections and gather written, statistical, photographic and other data necessary to ascertain contract performance.

* Provide leadership and guidance to staff in a range of horticultural tasks and activities.

* Coordinate the receipt of deliveries and the movement of materials plant and equipment to site.

* Organise seasonal work plans and rotas to reflect service requirements.

* Procure and ensure appropriate training in the operation of all machinery plant and other equipment.

* To plan and deliver routine and specialised horticultural maintenance in accordance with good practice.
