Blade Recruitment is currently recruiting for Grounds Maintenance jobs for a prestigious location near to Islington, London.
Salary up to £30k + excellent benefits.
37.5hrs pw, 5 days out of 7
JOB DUTIES
* Ensuring gardens are presented to the highest standard in the most efficient manner, maintenance and development of the garden and all garden water features.
* The Grounds Maintenance job will involve planting and maintaining a wide variety of plants and shrubs.
* Watering and maintenance of glasshouse plants and extensive range of pots.
* Apply manures and mulches, clearing all garden debris and composting of garden waste and general grounds maintenance.
* Carry out pruning work, using ladders, scaffolding and mechanical aids.
* Maintain grounds paths in a clean and safe condition, pressure washing, weeding and sweeping.
* The Grounds Maintenance job will involve the application of algicides where appropriate.
* The Grounds Maintenance job will involve using and the safe operation of all hand tools and machinery within the gardens.
* Ensuring that safe working practices and all health and safety regulations are carried out for all grounds maintenance jobs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
* Preferred applicants for the Grounds Maintenance job will hold RHS level 2 or equivalent in horticulture.
* The Grounds Maintenance job will require someone with the ability to work alone and to work under pressure and to be flexible in working and have good attention to detail.
* Aware of and comply with safe working practices as laid down under the health and safety acts.
* The Grounds Maintenance job will ideally suit someone who has worked in a similar grounds maintenance job and attend all training courses as and when required.
* Candidates for the Grounds Maintenance job will be extremely well presented and have good communication skills.
