As passionate pragmatists campaigning against animal cruelty, we strive to achieve the greatest impact for farmed animals with a relentless focus on all of the enabling conditions that allow the continuation of factory farming. Our campaigns aim to stop the destructive nature of a broken food system which is not only cruel but is also one of the biggest drivers of global climate change and nature loss. We campaign to end factory farming to save animals, people and planet and actively advocate for a nature-positive world, through our recently launched END.IT campaign, that is campaigning on the levers for change to stop the intensive farming of animals and transition towards a climate and nature positive world.
In this exciting new role, you will be responsible for building a global movement of citizens, organisations and forward-thinking businesses, calling on World Leaders to urgently transform our food system and end factory farming. You will be working closely with the Head of Campaigns to create campaigns that engage a wide number of stakeholders and NGOs. You will develop meaningful relationships with NGOs, coordinating the steering group of onboarded partners and engage with new and existing supporters, to help grow the movement to end factory farming. Part of the role will be to work closely with our international advocacy team on coalition building around UN key moments – and helping our country offices on engagement strategies around END.IT.
Key elements of this role are movement building, mobilisation strategy, digital expertise, and campaigning, necessary to expand the END.IT platform project, enabling it to host local campaigns and reach different audiences.
This position works with, assists and acts as deputy of the Global Head of Campaigns in developing the campaigns plan and will have a portfolio of specific long- and short-term projects and tasks to deliver
Key responsibilities for the Global Senior Mobilisation Manager role include:
• Develop and implement movement building strategy to grow end.it supporter base
• Stakeholder relationship building and management. Coordinate the NGOs steering group
• Liaise with CIWF food system advocacy team and help country offices to develop their strategy around END.IT
• Oversee supporters’ journeys across a variety of channels, producing persuasive, high-quality email, social and web copy to motivate the public to take action.
• Management of entire campaign/project, or certain aspects of large scale, cross departmental campaigns.
Our ideal candidate will have long experience in campaigning, digital mobilisation, network building and communications roles. Proven track record of leading and implementing successful campaigns, cross-departmental projects and experience of movement building in the context of campaigning. Excellent organisational and project management skills, good understanding of digital platform.
It is desirable but not essential to have worked in the animal welfare, environment, development sectors or food system for a charitable organisation. The ability to speak fluent English is essential. Strong organisational skills and good attention to detail are also key requirements for this position.
*Please note that the remuneration quoted is for a UK based employee. This may be adjusted for other European countries as appropriate and in line with our country office benchmarking.
