Freight Forwarder
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £25000 – £27000/annum excellent benefits plus overtime
This is a fabulous opportunity for a Freight Forwarder to join this exciting and rapidly growing established organisation. This could be a full time or a part time role, hours to suit you.
Ideally your experience will be import biased, though export will also be a part of the role.
Our client offers a bespoke and first class logistical service to customers via air, sea and road and customers are worldwide including Australia, Canada and the US.
Experience and knowledge of freight forwarding is essential for this position, probably at least 1 year industry experience.
Skills and Experience required
* Freight Forwarding knowledge and experience of at least 1 year
* Experience in making arrangements with customs brokers to facilitate the passage of goods through customs.
* Sales / quotation experience and knowledge, ensuring pricing correct
* Prepare necessary shipping documentation for customs clearance
* Ensure specific documents are included for dangerous goods transportation
* Able to build relationships at all levels with both customers and suppliers
* Excellent customer service skills
* Great problem solver
* Team player
* Highly organised and methodical
