My client is an award-winning power generation business, with a reputation for being the best in the industry. Due to their continued expansion, we have an opportunity based from home for a Field Service Engineer to cover sites along the M5 / A303
Responsible for providing client satisfaction and outstanding customer service at all times, the Field Service Engineer respond to problems at sites, where you will use your mechanical and electrical engine knowledge to maintain and successfully repair any faulty gas engine units.
The successful Field Service Engineer will possess mechanical engineering skills, with prior experience servicing and maintaining gas power supply equipment such as Jenbacher, Cummins, MTU, Mercedes, MWM, Deutz, MAN or CAT sized units, CHP sets, engines and generators.
Ideally, the Field Service Engineer will be qualified at Apprenticeship, City and Guilds level or above in an Engineering discipline.
Knowledge of electrical fault finding or component replacement would be a distinct advantage, as would any experience of generator control panels or the 17th Edition qualification. Our client is, however, willing to provide training and development in this area.
