Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £30000 – £36000/annum

Our client is looking for a Farm Mechanic for their company working on the farm fleet which includes tractors, combines, harvesters, sprayers, trailers, JCB telehandlers, forklifts, ATVs, UTVs, 360-excavators, minibuses and cars along with other equipment and implements relating to the farm.
The role will involve but not be limited to the following:
· Inspect, diagnose faults and repair farm machinery and equipment where necessary
· Attending machinery breakdowns
· Schedule and carry out servicing and routine maintenance (including MOT preparation) on all machinery, vehicles and tractors.
· Record keeping of all work/maintenance
· Management of work priorities
· Procurement of spare parts/components from the most cost-effective source
· Assisting with farm duties at busy times of the year
· Compliance with HSE requirements
The role is extremely varied and no two days are the same.
We would like for the successful candidate to have:
· Previous experience in a mechanical role on a broad range of vehicles and machinery (essential)
· Ideally having had experience working on heavy plant or agricultural machinery (preferred but not essential)
· Ability to diagnose faults
· Excellent problem-solving
· Ability to manage own workload
· Pro-active and can-do attitude
· Ability to work as part of a team
· Good communication skills
· Welding experience
· Full driving licence
· Experience driving farm machinery and forklifts would be advantageous
Any relevant qualifications and certificates to the above role would be beneficial.
The successful candidate will be provided with their own work van which is required to stay on premises overnight.
This is a full-time position, 39 hours a week, Monday to Friday. There is the opportunity to work overtime at busy times of the year.
Competitive salary, dependant on experience.
£30,000 – £36,000 per annum
