Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies, and attending appropriate training sessions.
Ensure open and constructive working relationships with all internal departments involved in supporting the C&E dept, including maintaining a strong working relationship with key opinion leaders and internal dept heads.
Develop a seamless and professional relationship with the venue client, while supporting their core mission and values.
Become proficient in the use of Delphi fdc software, follow its Compass procedures, always add notes for each event, and quality control any inputted data.
Work professionally and respectfully with all clients, internal departments, suppliers, staff, and supporting colleagues, who may be involved in an event process.
Professionally represent the venue in all sales transactions and networking* opportunities, such as related industry meetings, functions and shows.
Respond empathetically and professionally to any customer complaints, seeking advice from the Head of C&E for any uncertainties, either before, during or post event.
Handle special projects as assigned by the Head of C&E. Who you are:

The ideal candidate must have finished a course of higher education and have at least three years' experience in a similar role, preferably at a venue. In particular; professional experience of meeting sales goals, negotiating, motivating, relationship building, managing processes, marketing, developing budgets, and analysis, willing to work as a team, communicating clearly with their own department, internal departments and vendors at all times. The post holder must have a confident yet assuring manner, while exhibiting an outgoing, but professional demeanour, at all times. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required in order to make any duty a success.

What you'll be doing:
After a handover form the Sales rep, work directly with that client to up-sell and coordinate all details, working to a balance of our recommendations and the client's specifications.
Ensure efficient and accurate creation of all client documents such as BEOs, floor plans, and invoices, as per 'in-house' procedures set by the General Manager, while communicating all event developments to the event operations team and Head Chef by set deadlines.
Send out accurate booking requests and operational updates to all appropriate IWM Duxford departments.
Maintain accurate client billing documents, ensure collection of balances are completed within one month of invoice and before an event happens, assist with collection of any past due debts, and ensure all financial breakdowns in Delphi match Compass' weekly reports
Seek all initial quotes for rented FOH and BOH rented equipment, with collaboration from the Deputy GM and Head Chef, then handover over the ordering of this to the event's operations manager at the 14-day final guest number deadline or sooner.
Monitor, manage and exceed the departmental monthly sales quotas, through personal upselling and while adhering to established sales guidelines, programs, and procedures.
Prepare for and attend a regular 1:1 with your line manager, having completed any of your action points from the previous meeting.
Prepare for the weekly BEO Meeting that the event planner will chair, by accurately preparing your BEOS and creating the BEO pack, including a (calendar of events) cover sheet.
Assist the event planner to ensure that all H&S documentation relating to an event is produced in good time before any event activity happens.
Maintain dedicated client organiser relations throughout the event process and ensure their guests receive uncompromised hospitality and quality service
