Engineering Manager / Tech Lead – Hands on.
These guys are disrupting the outdated and "old school" consultancy model. They are a small, Agile Engineering consultancy run by engineers. They have been going for just shy of 2 years and already work on with some of London’s biggest tech companies.
They are doubling in size every 6 months and constantly winning new projects. As a result, they are now looking for an additional Engineering Manager to work in both a hands on (lead) and also mentoring capacity upskilling more junior members of the team.
The Engineering Manager will be comfortable liaising with and meeting clients directly and will be consulted on the technical decisions made at leadership level within the business but equally be happy churning out quality code and being the go-to for any technical queries from other members of the team.
Tech wise they typically work on full stack Javascript projects (React / Node) hosted in the cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) so are looking for an Engineering Manager with Javascript knowledge and ideally AWS or one of the other cloud providers. This can vary project by project and it is likely you will get exposed to new technology as well – one project quite Kubernetes heavy for example.
You will have a lot of influence in the business and should you wish to explore a new practice are / technology offering you think they should be targetting you will have the freedom to do so.
Key Skills:
* Strong hands on technical leadership
* Front or Backend Javascript (React / Node)
* Cloud / DevOps experience – AWS/Azure/GCP (Highly desirable)
* Agile / TDD / BDD
* Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to push back on clients

Location: Shoreditch with 1 day / week remote typically. Currently fully remote
Salary: £70,000 – £100,000 + Equity Depending on experience level
