£15.10 – £19.95 p/hr Umbrella – subject to experience. PAYE available.
A London college group is looking for an Employability Co-ordinator to join their Employability team to build on existing external employer partnerships, build new ones, and oversee the monitoring and organisation of Work Placements, and Employability activities for their full-time Study Programme learners.
Responsiblities
* Develop new and existing partnerships with employers to develop the college’s work experience and employer engagement activities. Source work experience/placements and support learners to find work experience.
* Attend external networking events, including some evenings where required, to build and maintain relationships with external partners
* Ensure work experience placements are recorded on EBS and ProMonitor and any other relevant repository.
* Support learners across the School of Employability with the completion of DBS applications where required.
* Work with course teams to ensure the setting and monitoring of meaningful reflection on the work experience that is closely linked to the student programme and aspirations.
* Attend college meeting as required.
* Participate in parents’ evenings, open days and social functions during and outside normal hours.
* Organise visits and liaise with outside/specialist agencies and employers.
* Organise and take part in day and residential courses in the UK and abroad, where appropriate.
* Adopt a consistent approach in dealing with student discipline in accordance with College policy.
* Ensure all work placements have been correctly risk assessed and are compliant with a safe working environment. Visit or call work placements before, during and after work placement
Requirements
* Experienced in building employer links across a variety of industries
* Experience of sourcing, setting up and monitoring work placements
* Confident and strong interpersonal skills
* Strong IT and administration skills
You will need a DBS within 12 months or on the update service to apply. Applications without this cannot be considered.
