A well-established Manufacturer has an excellent opportunity for a Design Team Administrator to join their Contracting Division. Ideally based within a commutable distance from Exeter, however the role could potentially be home based.
Our client provides a fully MCS accredited ground source heat pump installation service that fits with existing supply chains and client requirements. They can deliver a turnkey package and flexible contractual solutions.
They assume responsibility for the entire project, spanning the ground array, heat pump, and heat distribution system, including sizing, design, purchasing, installation, and management of sub-contractors across the three stages of the heat pump installation.
Main Purpose of a Design Team Administrator:
As Design Team Administrator you will work at the centre of the Design Department, administrating and coordinating elements of the design process for New-build and Retrofit projects, across Domestic and Non-Domestic sectors. You will be active in the full life-cycle of allocated designs, from scheduling and recording meetings, to administrating design information flows, collating pre-design information, coordinating specialist surveys, and actively organising
department filing systems. You will liaise with clients and internal stakeholders throughout the design cycle, supporting the Design team and providing monthly reporting to the Design Manager
Key Tasks of a Design Team Administrator:
* Collating and tracking and project pre-design information.
* Instruction and coordination of UXO Desktop Assessments.
* Administration of mining searches and Coal Authority permission applications.
* Scheduling and arranging internal and external meetings.
* Minute taking of client design team, and internal team meetings.
* Issuing subcontractor Purchase Orders.
* Scheduling and coordination of project survey appointments.
* Organising and facilitating the design review process.
* Maintaining document control, drawing issue sheets, and updating third-party Document Management Systems.
* Liaising with clients, subcontractors and departments to communicate design information.
* Coordinating specialist survey subcontractors.
* Review and maintenance of design project filing systems.
Design Team Administrator Person Specification:
* High proficiency using Microsoft Office applications.
* 65 WPM or higher
* Highly organised
* Ability to work within a team.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills.
* Strong computer based communication.
* Ability to work independently and autonomously.
* Good attention to detail
Desirable
* At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
* Microsoft Project experienced.
* Working knowledge of the construction industry.
* Time management skills
Package
Basic Salary between £22,500 – £26,000 DOE Pro – Rata 3 to 4 days per week
Pay Plan bonus scheme is uncapped
