About the role:
* A new opportunity has arisen for Cook / Chef to work in the kitchen at our 30 bed family care home
* You will be required to work 36-40 hours per week and alternative weekends
* You will play a vital role that extends beyond simply preparing meals
* The main function requires you to ensure that the meals are nutritious and well-balanced, providing adequate nutrition to residents in a care home setting
* You will manage the catering services within the home, maintaining a high standard of food provision and service
* In essence, as a care home cook/chef, you will be required to bring the pleasure of dining to the residents
About You:
* The right to live and work in the UK.
* Educated to NVQ 2 in Cooking or equivalent and have a food hygiene certificate, you will have experience of catering management in a care home or similar environment
* You will be an effective communicator and have experience of realistic management of inventory, stock rotation, and ordering
* Previous experience of maintaining standards within Catering Department according to Health & Safety and Food Safety Act are essential
