Salary : £25000 – £35000/annum

 

The Harpenden Building Society have a new role of a Business Systems Administrator.
Principal Duties:
• To provide support, maintenance and administration of Core Business Systems (CBS)
• Manage the procedural and technical aspect of the CBS use in the Society
• Ensure the CBS availability to meet operational resilience requirements and the disaster recovery readiness at recovery facilities
• Liaising with external parties to represent the requirements of the Society’s interests
• Establishing and reporting CBS functionality issues and managing their resolution with the third party providers
• Responsible for the periodic system management such as version changes, day to day processing and periodic data management
• Performing the Database Administration role on the CBS
• Producing data sets or reports for controlled business processes or ad hoc usage such as projects
• Assist with software testing and promotion of new software releases to production use
• Ensuring that the CBS are able to record, compute and report the Society’s business on a day to day basis.
Other Duties:
• Support the IT department in its delivery of services to business areas as detailed in the Service Level Agreement
• To assist the IT Teams in meeting or exceeding the IT KPI’s
• To assist in managing the security of the CBS and any supporting database systems.
• Support the IT Department in its governance controls and in committees
• Work towards achieving the strategic deliverables in the IT Strategy
• Provide IT support during Saturday’s branch opening hours.
• Training and development of colleagues on the CBS
Skills Required:
• Good levels of documentation, communication, numeracy and literacy
• An understanding of Financial Services and its required processes
• Maintain a good relationship with users and build on their engagement and cooperation.
• Organisation and time management
• Continuous improvement of Information Security Skills
• Understand the ISO27001 requisites and best practises
• Apply IT best practise to all duties and work within the Society
• Appetite to learn and develop new skills, including databases and use of SQL.
