Smallworld IT are working with PETA to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated and organised individual to join the team as a Business Administration Apprentice. You will be creating a buzz in administering the business, staying ahead of others while delivering a service that is second to none. There is the intention for a full-time role to be offered to the successful and suitable candidate upon completion of the apprenticeship. There are excellent prospects for future progression.
Training to be provided: Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15 month apprenticeship which includes 10 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.
Your new role
The Business Administration Apprentice will be responsible for the following duties:
* Assisting colleagues in day-to-day business
* Answering and directing telephone calls
* Responding to general customer enquiries
* Logging customer requests
* Customer Relationship Management
* Managing the CRM System
* Scheduling meetings and appointments
* Managing suppliers
* General accounting
Essential Criteria
It is important that the Business Administration Apprentice meets the following criteria:
* Excellent customer service skills
* Willingness to learn new skills in all aspects of the business
* Confident with speaking on the telephone & face to face; excellent telephone manner
* Good IT Skills including the use of MS Office
* Excellent organisational skills
* Ability to use initiative and to be proactive
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to use social media sites to support with Marketing
To be considered for the role, you will also require GCSEs in maths and English with at least a grade 4/C.
Desirable Criteria
An interest in the IT industry will be advantageous
