Job Type : Apprenticeship, Full Time
Salary : £4.81/hour
Are you looking to kickstart your career through an apprenticeship? Great businesses need great people, that’s where you come in!
What would I be doing?
Joining the People Team at MSC as a Human Resources / Health and Safety Apprentice is a great way to start your career. Their People Team are responsible for all HR tasks from recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, well-being support, learning and development, as well as health and safety. As an Apprentice within this department, you will learn how to offer support with the day to day running of the department and become equipped to begin your career in Human Resources.
You will learn various Health and Safety processes such as training and awareness, how to complete risk assessments and how to work with our internal auditors to complete regulatory audits. You will be using your problem-solving skills to gather, record and analyse information to identify trends in accidents and near misses to help prevent these in the future.
Your communication skills will be particularly important as you participate in continuous improvement processes such as workshops and building relationships across the business to gain an understanding of their areas and their health and safety needs. You would also be heavily involved in employee engagement and wellbeing, helping organise fundraisers, creating content and sending out regular communications such as blog posts, keeping our engagement portal up to date.
